Currys’ warehouse and distribution campus in Newark is at the heart of the retailer’s supply chain and operates 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. The site picks, packs, and dispatches small and large box orders for all Currys’ stores and online customers across the UK and Ireland.

The site plays a crucial role within the business and is one of the largest of its kind in Europe, covering 1.5 million sq ft and employing a team of up to 4,000 people depending on the time of the year.

Tate Consulting designed a replacement fire alarm system across the whole campus, that could be installed in a live working environment. This meant working closely with the client throughout the project to understand and respond to the challenges this would present, to ensure the success of the delivery.
